ENERGY EFFICIENCY
At Agcad Design we take Energy Efficient and Sustainable Design seriously. Over many years the Agcad staff have been trained by some of Australia’s best ‘green soldiers’. People like Bernard Hockings past President of and Principal Technical Consultant of ABSA and Dick Clarke the worlds only holder of a Masters in Sustainability and also a Building Designer have contributed to our knowledge base. Also Chris Reardon from the Institute of Sustainable Futures UTS and author of the Your Home Technical Manual (financed by the Federal Government) has also trained our staff in the Green Industry.
We are Accredited GreenSmart professionals with the HIA (Housing Industry of Australia) and we are members of ABSA (Association of Building Sustainability Assessors) which enables us to conduct energy ratings on all new houses and extensions.
We have conducted nearly 2000 Nathers Energy Ratings alone and have been involved in producing documentation for future Assessor exams for ABSA.
We have undergone extensive training in the use of BASIX, the NSW Government initiative to save energy and water and the basis of all Council Applications.
We are able to offer advice on the myriad of ‘green’ building products out in the market place and debunk some of the myths being peddled by manufacturers.
We aim to provide an affordable ‘green’ solution for your design from basic Passive Solar Design right up to full Sustainable Home with high end inclusions.
